About Us

Welcome to Grace Christian Church, Redbank Plains. We are a friendly, welcoming and supportive church committed to spreading the love of Jesus in our area. Please know that you are welcome visit us on Sunday mornings at 9.30am or join us in our various weekly activities.

If you are looking for a church that is more substantial in its teaching and really explores the truths of the bible then this church is for you. We believe the bible is the infallible word of God and endeavour to understand the scriptures in their original context, looking only to the bible for truth. We believe that Jesus Christ is the most important person who ever walked this earth. His death on the cross is the most significant event in history. We are all guilty of sin and the consequence of sin is death. Jesus did not come into the world to condemn us but to save us. He came to die for our sins and took the punishment that we deserve so we would not have to endure the same fate and can look forward to eternal life with God in heaven.

Our Purpose: To glorify the one true God.

Our Mission:  To proclaim the Gospel and make disciples.

“All authority in heaven and earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely, I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

Matthew 28:18-20

Our Vision:

Teach the word of God.

The word of God is living and active in our church. We read and study the Bible together as we grow in our understanding and in our relationship with Jesus and one another.

“Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with thankfulness to God”

Colossians 3:16

Encourage and care for one another.

We are united in love as we build one another up. We show our love as we pray for one another, encourage one another in fellowship, and serve together.

“And let us consider how we may spur one another on towards love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another – and all the more as you see the Day approaching.”

Hebrews 10:24-25

Equip people for Christian living.

We stand firm on the word of God and trust in Him for all life’s circumstances, equipping one another in spiritual wisdom and discernment, for ministry, leadership and acts of service.

“All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction and for training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.”

2 Timothy 3:16

Our Values:
Love One Another

We seek to be welcoming and friendly to everyone.

“By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.”

John 13:35

Therefore, we:

  • Walk alongside and support one another.
  • Look out for our brothers and sisters in Christ.
  • Help to meet the needs of others, and strengthen each other.
Stand Firm
We stand firm on the Scriptures alone as sufficient for life and faith. We will not be tossed back and forth by every wind of teaching (Ephesians 4:14)

“Be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that in the Lord your labour Is not in vain.”

1 Corinthians 15:58

Therefore, we:

  • Put on the full armour of God (Ephesians 6:10-18).
  • Defend the truth and refute false doctrine.
  • Are consistent in our belief and behaviour.

Serve
We seek to serve our brothers and sisters as we serve the Lord in all we do, out of His love for us, that dwells within us by grace.

“So whatever you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God”

1 Corinthians 10:31

Therefore, we:

  • Welcome, connect with, and pray for one another.
  • Provide practical and spiritual support for one another.
  • Use our gifts and abilities to build up one another.
